Ubisoft Forward 2023 - Everything Announced
Ubisoft showed off plenty of exciting games, including Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Prince of Persia and Star Wars Outlaws, all the games announced are detailed here.
During the Ubisoft Forward 2023 event, the gaming company presented a plethora of announcements, gameplay footage, and updates as part of its showcase. The event featured a mix of anticipated mainstays like Just Dance, Assassin's Creed along with surprises such as an in-depth look at Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Star Wars Outlaws. Furthermore, attendees were treated to extensive gameplay reveals for The Crew, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and more. Just Dance 2024 Edition - Release Date - October 24th, 2023
In the fun, on-stage tradition of Ubisoft Forward events we were treated to a dance troupe kicking off the event. This year, in celebration of the upcoming release of Just Dance 2024 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on October 24th, dancers took to the stage and showcased some of the newest moves from the game.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - Release Date - December 7th, 2023
The world premiere of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora took the stage next showcasing the highly anticipated game. The story revolves around a Na'vi warrior who is trained by the human faction, only to be betrayed. Before the treachery unfolds, she is placed in an extended cryosleep, awakening years later to a changed world.
As the warrior rediscovers the enchanting Na'vi realm, players will join her on this immersive journey. You'll navigate Pandora's breathtaking landscapes, engage in intense battles and soar through the skies while protecting your homeworld.
XDefiant - Release Date - Open Test June 21st-23rd, full release 2023
Next, Ubisoft discussed the success of XDefiant's initial closed beta. The company then revealed an upcoming open beta scheduled for June 21-23, 2023, with a full release planned later this summer.
At launch, a large roadmap is also on the way featuring 4 new factions, 12 new weapons, and 12 new maps. Ubisoft also hinted at numerous surprising crossovers with other popular Ubisoft franchises.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown - Release Date - Coming January 18th, 2024
Danger awaits for Sargon in Mount Qaf. Join him on a thrilling odyssey, facing a multitude of treacherous obstacles throughout the journey.
Immerse yourself in the action and uncover his remarkable skills. Delve into an elegant and exhilarating action-adventure platformer set within a mythical Persian realm, where you hold the power to bend time and space.
Assume the role of Sargon, evolving from a skilled swordsman to a legendary hero by mastering acrobatic combat and unlocking new Time Powers and extraordinary super abilities.
Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix - Release Date - Fall 2023
Ubisoft presented a nostalgic animated tribute to the 90s that mashes up different characters from across its franchises. This vibrant and action-packed series, inspired by the iconic era, promises to deliver an unforgettable viewing experience filled with retro vibes and over-the-top adventures. Don't miss out on this thrilling homage to the 90s, coming soon to a small screen near you.
Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence - Beta tests June 2023
The Division Resurgence is a free-to-play, third-person shooter RPG set in a post-crisis New York City. Designed for mobile devices, players assume the role of a "Strategic Homeland Division" agent to restore order and protect civilians. This latest installment offers a standalone campaign, new MMO journey, and rich content including game modes, specializations, and enemy factions.
Skull and Bones - Closed Beta August 25th to August 28th, 2023
The band "Home Free" appeared on stage, performing a shanty version of their song 'Skull and Bones.' Along with this Ubisoft announced a closed beta for the pirate game is coming btween August 25-28th, 2023.
Video Montage Showcases Multiple Titles
Midway through the showcase we were treated to a montage highlighting updates for various games.
These included Anno 1800, For Honor, Trackmania, Roller Champions, Brawlhalla, Rocksmith+, The Crew 2 and arguably the biggest of all was Rayman DLC for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, set to release later this year.
The Crew Motorfest - Release Date - September 14th, 2023
The Crew Motorfest was unveiled, announcing a launch date of September 14th, 2023.
This installment boasts the most extensive assortment of vehicles in The Crew series and invites players to traverse the stunning island of O'ahu, Hawaii.
Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR - Release Date - Holiday 2023
Step into the boots of an Assassin in a game crafted specifically for virtual reality. Play as iconic Assassins and navigate open maps with parkour and climbing abilities. Use stealth tactics by lurking in shadows or mingling with civilians. Feel the adrenaline of aerial assassinations and the heart-stopping leap of faith.
Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade

Assassin’s Creed Mirage - Release Date - October 12th, 2023
The upcoming entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise offered up a story trailer and a very detailed gameplay walkthrough.
As a big AC fan, I was excited to see more "classic" gameplay elements from the origins of the series set in Baghdad. Ready your hidden blade, the new Assassin epic arrives October 12th, 2023.
Star Wars Outlaws Gameplay - Release Date - 2024
To close out the show we got an exciting look at gameplay from Star Wars Outlaws. The title was previously announced at the Xbox Showcase which offered a cinematic trailer, at Ubisoft Forward we got the opportunity to see the game in action. Massive's open-world Star Wars universe looks incredible. You play as Kay Vess, a daring rogue on a quest for a fresh start, you'll take risks and face challenges in this new take on the Star Wars Galaxy.

Overall, Ubisoft Forward delivered an excellent showcase, providing an abundance of game announcements, updates, and previews. From the mesmerizing world of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora to Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft has shown its commitment to delivering diverse and engaging experiences for gamers.

I saw alot of titles that have me excited like Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Assassin's Creed Mirage, and The Crew. As I await these releases, Ubisoft Forward 2023 left me with greater anticipation and a renewed sense of enthusiasm for what lies ahead.
