As the excitement builds for Super Bowl LIX, the stage is set for what promises to be another Super Sunday. This year, the big game will take place on February 9, 2025 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The venue will undoubtedly provide an electric atmosphere, showcasing the culmination of a long, hard-fought season.
As always, fans are eager to see which team will rise to the occasion and hoist the Lombardi Trophy. But before the real action begins, dappertux.com decided to fire up EA Sports' Madden NFL 25 to simulate the game and give you a taste of what could go down on the field.
Madden 25’s History of Predictions
EA Sports' Madden NFL series has a long history of predicting the Super Bowl with surprising accuracy. Over the past 20 years, the game has predicted the outcome with 65% accuracy, making it an interesting barometer for NFL fans who want to see how the video game’s virtual players envision the big game.
This year marks dappertux.com’s fourth time attempting to predict the outcome of the Super Bowl with Madden, though our record hasn’t been stellar. With only one correct prediction out of four, we hope Madden 25 gives us better results this season. Nonetheless, we’re still all about the fun of seeing how the simulation plays out.
Madden’s Track Record
In some years, Madden's predictions have been uncannily spot-on. Take, for example, Super Bowl 49 (2015), where the simulation accurately predicted the final score and several key plays. The game's accuracy was so impressive that it left many scratching their heads in awe.
However, there have been notable exceptions. In Super Bowl 48 (2014), Madden predicted a close game between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks. In reality, Seattle dominated the Broncos 43–8 in one of the most lopsided Super Bowls in recent memory. Despite the occasional misfire, Madden’s predictive power remains a topic of fascination each year.

Now, let’s dive into the Madden 25 simulation of Super Bowl LIX! Dapper Jr. and I fired up the game, set the difficulty to its highest level, and updated the rosters with current players and injuries. We then let the AI control both teams. Here’s how the game played out, quarter by quarter:
Super Bowl LIX Coin Toss Prediction: Kansas City
The game started with Kansas City winning the coin toss and electing to receive the ball first. The KC offence, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, was ready to roll out of the gate.
First Quarter
The game commenced with Kansas City winning the coin toss and electing to receive. Patrick Mahomes orchestrated a 21-yard drive, during which running back Isiah Pacheco appeared to fumble. However, after a video review, the ruling was overturned, allowing the drive to continue.
Mahomes then connected with Marquise "Hollywood" Brown for a 27-yard touchdown pass, followed by a successful Harrison Butker extra point.
The Eagles began their drive at their own 30-yard line but could not penetrate the Chiefs' staunch defence.
The first quarter concluded with Kansas City leading 7-0.
Second Quarter
Kareem Hunt extended the Chiefs' lead with a 2-yard touchdown run. The Eagles responded with quarterback Jalen Hurts advancing the ball to the Chiefs' 7-yard line. However, the promising drive ended with a turnover in the end zone, as the Chiefs' defence held firm.
Capitalizing on the momentum, Mahomes delivered a 33-yard pass to Brown, resulting in another touchdown and a successful extra point by Butker.
The Eagles managed to narrow the gap with a 59-yard touchdown pass from Hurts to Saquon Barkley, with Jake Elliott's kick bringing the score to 21-7 at halftime.
Third Quarter
The Eagles appeared to score a touchdown, but it was called back due to a penalty.
On the subsequent play, Hurts connected with Dallas Goedert for a 9-yard touchdown pass, and Elliott's kick was good, tightening the score to 21-14.
Fourth Quarter
Mahomes showcased his versatility with a 7-yard rushing touchdown at 4:54, with Butker's kick extending the lead to 28-14. The Eagles made a late push, with Hurts finding Jahan Dotson for a 1-yard touchdown pass at 1:19, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit.
The game concluded with a final score of Kansas City 28, Philadelphia 14, marking the Chiefs' historic three-peat as Super Bowl champions.

Madden 25’s prediction this year was a tight one, and while it may not be entirely accurate, it’s certainly a fun look at how the game could play out. We’ll find out soon enough if the simulation is closer to reality, but for now, it’s game on!
