PS5 September System Software Update Launches Tomorrow

New UX, customization options, 3D Audio and M.2 SSD storage expansion on the way for the PlayStation 5.

As the autumn deluge of gaming hits, #PlayStation5 users are about to be treated to a bevvy of upgrades to make their console experience even better.

PlayStation console specific upgrades

Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 15th, 2021, the global release of the #PS5 September system software update will launch, the new version includes:

· PS5 UX enhancements to the Control Center, Game Base, and more

· New gaming and social experience customizations

· 3D audio support for built-in TV speakers

· M.2 SSD storage expansion

PlayStation app upgrades

In addition to the PS5 UI upgrades, two new mobile app features are also incoming. The first is “Share Screen” on the PS App and PS Remote Play over mobile networks. There will also be a few new feature additions for PS4.
