Nintendo Unveils Pokémon Scarlet and Violet OLED Nintendo Switch

A limited edition Switch is on the way featuring Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet detailing to launch alongside the games this November.

A new Nintendo Switch – OLED Model: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Edition will be available at select stores this November. The console will sport artwork inspired by the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games. The white system's dock features the Legendary Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon, as well as a design inspired by the series' iconic Poké Ball.

The back of the system features unique images of the three Pokémon that may be your first partners in the game - Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly - as well as symbols that players will recognize throughout their adventures.

The Joy-Con controllers, which match the main colors of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, include the Naranja Academy and Uva Academy's school emblems, which appear in the games.

You can now pre-order the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet edition of the Nintendo Switch – OLED Model for $469.99 at select retailers. The latest chapter in the Pokémon series will launch on Nov. 18 for a suggested retail price of $79.99 each.

The Pokémon series looks to takes a significant evolutionary step, with the newest entry allowing players to freely explore a fully realized open world. In the Paldea Region, you can catch, train and battle Pokémon and to be your loyal companions. These new areas are full of Pokémon-rich lakes, vast peaks, wastelands, small towns and bustling cities. Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet provide an open-world style of gameplay, one that Nintendo aims to make welcoming for veteran and rookie trainers a like.
